‘What I enjoy so much is the way you communicate and connect with people and how empathetic you are, seeing them in your and their full presence. That struck me right away in the first classes I took from you. You care about people and remember their stories. For me, this also reflects in your teaching: it may take some time to grasp what you are really talking about (especially for non-native English speakers like me), but after a while, the descriptions of how it feels to do this and that become clearer, and a deeper purpose emerges: to be present in the body and to simply notice what's going on. You used to say "just noticing" a lot in your classes, and that's my main point. Hi! I’m Joey.

I am a holistic yoga teacher dedicated to helping people bring more presence, inspiration and connection into their lives.

Developed from twenty years of practice and teaching, my approach uses asana, alignment cues, and mindfulness to encourage you to become more aware of the experience you are having, right now. This process is both meditative and deeply embodied, and as you become more skilled at it, you will develop the ability to fall back behind your thoughts into the present moment, which is the access point to a deeper dimension of yourself. Many good things come from this.
